Camps

Ear training, song structure, rhythm patterns, and group playing are all part of this week-long introduction to music. In this music camp, students will learn about all the different rock instruments and begin their introduction to music theory and appreciation. This camp is designed for 5 to 7-year-old students who have little to no music experience. This five-day camp runs Monday through Friday with a performance at the end of the last day.

Students will learn songs by artists such as the White Stripes, Green Day and Imagine Dragons (song selection will vary and is chosen by students with guidance from staff). Our nurturing environment makes this the perfect camp for budding musicians. Students will work on songs Monday through Friday and the camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.

Green Day was one of the most popular and influential bands of the 90s and early 2000s. Their fun, high-energy music helped bring punk into the mainstream. Throughout this 5-day music camp, we’ll explore hits from some of their most popular albums, such as “Dookie,” “Warning,” “Insomniac,” “American Idiot” and beyond. At the end of the week, students will put on a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

The Beatles are undoubtedly one of the most important rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time and their songs have greatly influenced the direction of modern music. Come celebrate the best songs from their vast collection of hits and Billboard-topping classics. Students at this music camp will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs from The Beatles, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

The 90s were one of music’s most important decades as alternative music took over the airwaves and popular culture. Come celebrate bands like The Cure, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer and many more in our Best of the 90s summer camp. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs from the 90s, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 10-17 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

Throughout Rock and Roll history, some of the best performers were also the most popular of their time. These early Pop Legends such as Aretha Franklin, Dianna Ross and Dusty Springfield paved the way for modern icons such as Madonna, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift. While this music camp features mostly female music artists, we also feature some of their male counterparts such as Michael Jackson and Prince. After rehearsing for five days, the campers will take the stage on the final camp day. This is a great camp for instrumentalists and vocalists 7-18 years of age, with some prior experience preferred.

Taylor Swift’s impact on music is undeniable, from Country to Indie Rock. Throughout the five days of this music camp, students will learn songs from all stages of Taylor’s career culminating in a live performance. This camp features great opportunities for not only vocalists but all instrumentalists as well. Great for young musicians 7-18 who have some previous instruction.
